The buses that serve the south of the Island must be the worst I've come across. Packed beyond belief at busy periods, I've rarely encountered one that wasn't full. This leads to long waits boarding because almost everyone has to pay as they board. this means that most buses run late. Has the operator never considered the cost of wasting so much time at stops? Why don't they introduce a pre-pay fares system as applies throughout most of Europe? Many holiday makers don't want to drive hire cars (or are unable to do so) and a bus service that puts its passengers to such long delays is insulting.
