Gran Canaria Airport

By Car
As you leave the airport follow the signs for “GC-1 Sur”. Once you are on the GC-1 motorway, you should continue south following the signs for Maspalomas (which is located right beside Playa del Ingles). After about 26km, take exit 43 signposted as “GC-500 Playa del Ingles – San Fernando”. Then take the right-hand fork in the road signposted as “GC-500 El Ingles”, followed by the first right signposted as “Playa del Ingles”. Click here to compare car rental prices.

By Bus
There are several public buses that connect Gran Canaria Airport with Playa del Ingles: the 04, 05, 36, 66 and 90 bus routes all stop at the airport and Playa del Ingles, though the 66 and 90 routes are best since they have the least amount of stops on the way. The number 5 bus from Las Palmas to Faro de Maspalomas runs at night and stops at the airport on route.
The very frequent number 01 bus from Las Palmas to Puerto de Mogan also stops at the airport, however it does not always go into Playa del Ingles itself, so if you take this bus, you may need to take a short taxi ride from San Fernando to your hotel.
The bus costs €3.50 and takes about 50 minutes.

By Taxi
A Taxi will cost around €37 and takes about 25 minutes. You can just walk straight out of the terminal and straight into a taxi, and there normally isn’t too much of a queue.

By Airport Transfer
A pre-booked shuttle transfer costs just €3.73 and takes you all the way to your hotel! A private transfer for up to 4 passengers costs as little as €25.37 – a significant saving when compared to a taxi, and groups of people larger than 4 can also be catered for. Please note that airport transfers cannot be purchased on arrival at Gran Canaria Airport and must be pre-booked. Click here for more information or to book.

    Information please

We are 2pax arriving Gran Canaria ex LS1259 at 1415 on 26th February. The best busses are nos 66 & 90 to Playa del Ingles; however the arrival day is a Sunday. Please confirm there are still regular departures from the airport to Playa on a Sunday.

Is there a bus stop closer to Playa del Ingles coming on bus from airport? I have read that the airport bus goes to the Faro de Maspalomas but I don’t need to go that far, is there a closer bus stop?

We arrive at Las Palmas Airport at 6pm Tuesday, what time can we get a bus to Playa Del Ingles after 6.30pm please?

Are the bus strikes still ongoing?

Hi, There are no.1 buses every 20 minutes at that time, though the no. 66 at 18:30 is the fastest option.
I am not aware of any strikes with the public buses at the moment.

Hi, which buslines accept large suitcases/bike bags from the airport to Playa del Ingles?

Hi, As far as I know, all of the main routes have a baggage hold. It’s only some local city buses that don’t.
