How to get to Puerto Rico from Gran Canaria Airport

Follow the signs for the “GC-1 Sur” as you leave the airport. Then, once on the GC-1 motorway, follow the signs for Maspalomas. Continue on the motorway past the exits for Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas and Meloneras until you pass through a series of tunnels. The exit for Puerto Rico is shortly after the sixth tunnel. Once off the motorway, take the second exit at the first roundabout, then, after passing through another short tunnel, take the first exit at the next roundabout and follow the road into the centre of Puerto Rico. By Bus
There are two public bus routes that connect the airport to Puerto Rico – both of which run between the city of Las Palmas and Puerto de Mogan stopping at both the airport and Puerto Rico en route: The number 01 bus route stops at nearly every bus stop between the airport and Puerto Rico, and is therefore very slow, while the number 91 is a lot faster with far fewer stops on the way.
The journey costs €5.45, and takes approximately 50 minutes.

By Taxi
It costs between €60 and €70 for a taxi from Gran Canaria Airport to Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico is 48km from the airport). Journey time is around 40 minutes.

By Airport Transfer
A pre-booked airport transfer by coach costs as little as €6.02 – with the added benefit that it will take you all the way to your hotel. This is quite important in Puerto Rico, since most of the hotels are quite far from the centre of town and up some very steep hills. A private transfer by car for up to 4 people costs around €40 – considerable cheaper than a taxi. Private transfers can also cater for larger groups with people carriers and mini-buses available.
